Network / System Administrator

Duties

  • Provide digital forensic infrastructure engineering expertise in support of a digital forensic exploitation lab applications, systems, platforms and capabilities.
  • Experience installing, building, maintaining and repairing workstations, computers, systems, servers, secure communications, and networks.
  • Serve as focal point for tickets, user requests and user interactions to ensure issues are tracked, prioritized, escalated, and assigned to the correct owners, and resolved for all platforms assigned to maintain.
  • Provide sustained operational support to include troubleshooting, patching, scripting, and other activities to ensure Quality of Service (QoS) levels are sustained for all platforms assigned to maintain.
  • Ensure system uptime of 95% for all systems assigned to maintain.
  • Prioritize the data processed by the supported platforms to meet mission needs.
  • Provide support to ensure data integrity of the data ingested into the supported platforms and data quality control across the supported systems.
  • Responsible for back end maintenance of the various platforms to include back-up strategies, record purging, etc. as well as maintain the complex database environment built on multiple database technologies to include Neo4J, MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, Solar, Lucene, ProstgreSQL, and SQLite.
  • Support IT transition and integration efforts.
  • Responsible for responding to customer ad-hoc data requests and working closely with software development teams to integrate new/updated forensic systems to the enterprise.
  • Responsible to submit the required to the Change Configuration Board (CCB) and coordinate as needed.

Education

  • Bachelors in Information Technology, Engineering or related discipline and 3+ years of experience OR 8+ years experience may be substituted for education.

Certification

  • DOD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (Security+ equiv or higher).

Clearance

  • Active TS SCI
